Join us at your selected airport 30 minutes before your flight.
Booking your seats takes two minutes, simply select your flight dates on our booking system and we'll confirm and reserve your seats ready for your arrival on the day you specify.
Flight departures are at 7am and 5pm so please arrive 30-45 minutes before your flight at either Arusha Airport or JRO Airport depending on your location.
We have built our very own Ruka Africa flight app that you can download before your flight to match your flight path and explain all the sights you will see as we ascend above the clouds.

FAQ
Ruka Africa are Kilimanjaro Scenic Flight pioneers for which demand is not high enough to allow regular daily operation. This flight therefore requires a minimum of 2 passengers plus a supplement fee of $400 for us to operate the flight.
If the minimum number of passengers is not met preceding your flight, we will either issue a full refund or reschedule your flight on another date upon your request. If you have any questions regarding how this works please email us on info@rukaafrica.com

Departs 7:00 am from Arusha Airport and lands back at 8:00 am. An evening schedule departs at 17:00, lands at 18:00.

Oxygen and oxygen masks are available in the aircraft and will be provided when we climb and descend through 13,000ft.

With a gentle ascension to 21,000ft above Mount Kilimanjaro, we’ll fly past the breathtaking Arusha National Park, witness changing landscapes from dense jungle to tropical terrain and views on the mountain that look like the Moon and Mars with hikers exploring the terrain below.
Our flight path lasts 1 hour and gives us sights of Mount Meru, Kilimanjaro’s sister peak, gorgeous glaciers that have existed for thousands of years, the stunning volcanic hollow that created Kilimanjaro millions of years ago and many other sights that cannot be experienced from the ground or on ballon safari’s.
You and all passengers will get front-row seats and views from both sides of the plane to witness these amazing changing landscapes before we gently descend back to either Arusha or JRO airport.
While flying, you can also enjoy our Audio Tour that is provided to each passenger before departure so you can learn more about the flight and sights in real-time as we embark on a luxury experience of a lifetime. We shall be flying from Arusha Airport to Mount Kilimanjaro and back to Arusha Airport.
